Description

An exciting opportunity to join a global investment management firm with an exceptional performance track record. The firm is looking to hire a motivated Equity Research Analyst to cover the Global Energy sector including both conventional and sustainable energy companies.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of energy companies
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment thesis and valuation frameworks
  • Generate high-conviction investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios
  • Perform macro-level research on global energy markets including regulatory, technological, and ESG developments
  • Present well-articulated investment recommendations at weekly investment committee meetings
  • Monitor and update research on existing portfolio holdings
  • Regularly engage with company management and attend conferences to gather insights
  • Contribute to ESG engagement efforts

Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of equity research experience
  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of the energy sector is a plus
  • Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment approach
  • Good team player who thrives in a collegiate culture
  • Intellectual curiosity, humility and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Analytical mindset
  • Currently working towards (or willingness to pursue) the CFA qualification
  • Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1)
