Description

Our client is a well-established global asset manager looking to recruit an Equity Analyst within the top performing global emerging markets fund.

The role will be responsible for analysing potential investment opportunities in Emerging Markets with an emphasis on Latin America.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis on companies in Emerging Markets with an emphasis on Latin American companies, with a view to make investment recommendations to the Portfolio Manager
  • Making investment recommendations to Portfolio Manager at stock and country level
  • Provide detailed and insightful reports and financial models on potential investments
  • Develop a detailed understanding of broader macro issues in the region; evaluate economic and political conditions that impact companies on coverage and sectors
  • Investigate Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) factors
  • Undertake investment trips to Latin America to attend management meetings and perform site visits
  • Participate in wider investment committee meetings, presenting on stocks, sectors and countries under coverage

Candidate Requirements:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience as an Equity Analyst covering Emerging Markets with preferably some experience covering Latin America
  • Educated to degree level with a 2:1 classification
  • Ideally CFA qualification
  • Deep passion for markets, investing and business
  • Team player
  • Ability to work independently and show strong initiative
