Description

Our client, a global institutional asset manager has an exciting opportunity to join their Global Environmental fund. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team at the leading edge of the growing impact investing sector.

This is a newly created position due to rapid growth and interest in the fund. The role will involve working alongside a small team of Portfolio Managers to analyse the ‘environmental impact’ potential of engagement with companies in Asia ex Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental equity analysis on Asia ex Japan universe (predominantly Chinese companies) with a focus on integrated ESG in the investment process
  • Produce written research notes, detailed financial models and investment recommendation
  • Monitor existing portfolio investments
  • Regularly attend company management meetings
  • Produce thematic research in relation to investment themes, market outlook of Asian countries
  • Analysis companies across the global environment world

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years’ experience as an equity analyst on the buy-side or sell-side
  • Business level Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential
  • Ideally CFA qualified or satisfied to study towards the CFA
  • Passion for sustainable investing and strong belief in the importance of integrating ESG in the investment process
  • Strong academic background
