Equity Portfolio Analyst

Description

Our client, a successful market-leading boutique investment management firm are looking to hire a Portfolio Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to support an experienced Fund Management team. It is a small, collegial team offering broad exposure and growth opportunities across the full range of investment functions.

Core responsibilities:

• Provide detailed performance and attribution analysis on a regular basis
• Conduct portfolio risk analysis to monitor underlying positions, risk drivers, performance and market dynamics/volatility
• Contribute to investment research
• Produce ESG analysis and research to identify and incorporate material ESG factors into the investment analyses and decision-making process
• Supporting the Trading Operations team to manage investment execution, settlement, position management, and reporting
• Develop portfolio and market related information for the Marketing and Sales team
• Research database management
• Generate information and reports for the Investment Committee
• Varied, ad hoc projects as reasonably required to support the Portfolio Managers

The successful candidate must have:

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an analytical role in the asset management industry
• Advanced analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Strong grasp of Excel and quantitative abilities
• An enthusiastic and hands-on approach
• An inquisitive and proactive nature
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative dynamic team environment
• Excellent organisational skills and able to multi-task and keep track of various deadlines
• A strong academic background and degree
