Description

A prestigious Investment Management firm is seeking an equity analyst to join their top-performing Asian Equities desk. The successful candidate will join an established investment team and help provide research and analysis on existing and new investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce research on companies and generate fundamental investment ideas across a universe of Asian stocks
  • Create and maintain financial models to help analyse company reports and accounts
  • Provide detailed research reports on potential investments
  • Analyse Environmental, Social and Governance factors
  • Develop a detailed understanding of broader macro issues/trends to evaluate economic conditions that impact companies in the region
  • Present and discuss ideas with members of the team
  • Assist in the marketing of funds through presentations, written articles and other client contact

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3- 6 years’ experience in equity research experience from the buy or sell-side
  • Prior experience to, or affinity with Asian or GEM markets would be preferred but strong candidates with experience in other geographies will be considered
  • Mandarin speaker would be beneficial but not essential
  • Demonstrable experience generating own stock models and sourcing ideas from independent though rather than from broker recommendations
  • CFA qualified or level 2+ candidate
  • Excellent academic background; degree educated
  • Strong team player and highly effective at communicating ideas
