Description

A global asset manager with an exceptional performance track record is looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst to join the London office. The role will have primary coverage across the Global Energy sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of specific companies and industries
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendations
  • Generate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios
  • Present compelling and well-articulated investment ideas at weekly investment committee meetings
  • Keep research up to date for companies already in the portfolios
  • Regularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetings
  • Actively involved in ESG engagement efforts within the investment team

Candidate Profile:

  • 8 years+ equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-side
  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of the energy sector
  • Ideally CFA qualified
  • Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process
  • Good team player who is able to work within a highly collegiate working environment
