Junior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

A leading Asset Management firm are looking to add an investment professional to the Fixed Income  desk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate alpha trade idea generation within Fixed Income and present ideas to Portfolio Managers
• Conduct detailed analysis on a range of global and emerging market macro-economic issues
• Research, develop and maintain fixed income market models
• Develop and maintain portfolio management tools in Python and SQL
• Participate in creating new datasets on market flows and positioning, creating initial visualisation of this data for Portfolio Managers

Candidate Profile:

• Around 2-5 years’ relevant fixed income investment experience at a reputable buy-side or sell-side organisation
• Passion for investments and financial markets
• Programming skills and experience (Python, R or Matlab) would be preferable
• Degree educated in Maths, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or similar subject
• Strong communication skills and a “can do” attitude
• Excellent attention to detail
