FX Trader – Developed & Emerging Markets

Our client, one of the largest asset managers in the world is looking to hire an FX Trader. This is an exciting opportunity as part of the continued expansion of the London office. The role will support into the Emerging Markets and FX Portfolio Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Execute FX trades including FX spot, forward & options in both developed and emerging markets; local EM bond executions; local EM IRS executions
• Assist in the management of the FX forward and options books, identifying opportunities for ongoing process improvements
• Gather and communicate market information to wider investment team
• Develop relationships with London and Asian sales team at brokers to harvest the best liquidity providers in different time zones
• Achieve best execution through analysing new trading techniques and liquidity sources
• Key point of contact for a number of internal team including Operations, Compliance and Client Services

The ideal candidate:

• Educated to degree level in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field
• Minimum 4 years’ proven trading experience of FX, Bonds and Interest Rates
• Knowledge of EM local markets would be preferable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills
