Description

Our Client, a boutique Asset Manager with a growing presence in London is currently looking to hire a Portfolio Analyst for a front office role within their global equities investment team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Global Equities and support a small team of Portfolio Managers and Equity Analysts.  This role will involve the analysing/screening investment universe, pre-trade modelling, support for constructing portfolios and general portfolio analysis.

Main Duties

  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers construct portfolios and conduct portfolio analysis to enhance portfolio construction insights
  • Screen investment universe of stocks to highlight stocks worthy of deeper fundamental research
  • Provide investment recommendations based on quant factor models
  • Maintain the buy-list of stocks
  • Portfolio analysis and pre-trade modelling
  • Planning of papers for regular team meeting rotation
  • Data analysis and incorporation of external data sources to increase insights

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent academic record; Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Finance related degree
  • 2-5 years asset management experience; preferably in a portfolio analytics or equity risk function
  • Understanding of risk factors, risk reporting calculations
  • Advanced Excel with programming experience in VBA desirable
  • Working towards CFA preferable
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
