Description

A leading asset management firm is looking to hire a Junior Portfolio Manager to join the Structured Credit investment team.

As part of the Structured Credit investment team, you will be responsible for the analysis and management of structured credit investments within the portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the performance and risk profile of structured credit portfolios, including ABS and CLOs
  • Relative Value Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to assess the relative value of structured credit instruments compared to broader fixed income products
  • Investment Analysis: Analyse and monitor ABS and CLO investments, assessing their creditworthiness, underlying collateral, and potential returns
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and utilise financial models to analyse the structural components of ABS and CLOs, evaluating their risk and reward characteristics
  • Investment Recommendations: Generate investment recommendations for both primary and secondary market opportunities, based on your analysis and market insights
  • Rating Agency Analysis: Stay abreast of rating agency methodologies and developments, ensuring the team is well-informed and able to evaluate credit ratings effectively
  • ESG Integration: Serve as a thought leader in integrating ESG factors into structured credit analysis and investment decisions
  • Due Diligence: Review legal documents, trustee reports, and other relevant documentation to assess the quality and risk profile of structured credit investments.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience conducting credit analysis of structured credit deals on the buy-side or sell-side
  • Deep understanding of the structured credit market, including ABS and CLOs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
