Junior Trader – Fixed Income

Description

A leading asset manager has an exciting opportunity to join their Fixed Income trading team in London. This is an opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic individual to step into a trading environment. The fixed income trading team covers a multitude of Fixed Income asset classes denominated in major currencies across the maturity spectrum.

Responsibilities include:

• Execute trades in Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities and FX on behalf of portfolio managers
• Provide best execution on pertaining to fixed income trades
• Maintain awareness of market developments and communicate market information to portfolio managers, use a variety of tools and databases to identify critical data for decision making
• Develop relationships with counterparties to support access to liquidity and investment idea flow

Requirements:

• Demonstrate a passion and drive for the markets and trading
• 2- 3 years relevant investment management experience; in a similar Trader or Fund Managers’ Assistant position
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Appetite to learn and embrace this exciting opportunity
• Strong communication skills
