Operational Trade Analyst

Description

Our client is a globally renowned investment management house. Due to exponential business performance, they are now looking to recruit a high-performing Operational Trade Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Head of Trade Support, the Operational Trade Analyst will take responsibility for the following duties:

• Collaborating with Portfolio and Investment Managers to support and facilitate the transition of assets ranging across multiple assets and products.
• Carrying out fund launches and closures, evaluating new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts in accordance with internal trade restrictions.
• Producing effective client transition strategies via the expeditious delivery of account documentation, co-ordinating with Client and Portfolio personnel to do so.
• Regular reconciliation of any external transfers as well as routinely rebalancing and restructuring portfolios as and when requested by internal investment teams.
• Overseeing and supporting team members, providing training as well as being the point of contact for any and all queries regarding the account open/closure process as well as the controls that must be met throughout.
• Diligently monitoring and mitigating the risk profile throughout the transition – ensuring the process is compliant and internal regulations are met.

 

The Operational Trade Analyst will meet the following skillset:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Trade Support/Operational role within the asset management industry.
• Impeccable organisational and time management skills, coupled with the ability to maintain high attention to detail across a number of different projects, working well under pressure.
• Exceptional knowledge in all aspects of the investment and asset transfer process, with an acute awareness for the operational side involving securities, risk management and custody.
• Strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent (2:1 desired).
• Confident, well-spoken and analytical individual that can articulate complex issues in front of key stakeholders within the industry.
• Global awareness of custodian bank and regulatory change within the industry across different jurisdictions.
