Description

A fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious investment management firm in the growing Emerging Market Fixed Income division. The main purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of Emerging Market Local rates; leading the idea generation and contributing to EM and DM fixed income strategy discussions.

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for implementing and managing Emerging Market Local currency strategies, taking into consideration the benchmark, risk appetite, guidelines and legal restrictions of each account
  • Lead alpha idea generation and making recommendations for both EM and Global portfolios
  • Conduct EM research to analyse emerging country local rate markets
  • Attend regular team meeting, contributing to investment decisions making process across EM and DM strategies
  • Effectively mentor more junior colleagues, demonstrating outstanding leadership as a senior member of the Fixed Income team

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar EM Fixed Income position on the buy-side preferably, however strong sell-side candidate may be considered
  • Extensive knowledge of EM interest rate swaps, conventions and monetary institutions
  • CFA accreditation preferable
  • Strong academic profile; Economics and/or Finance related degree
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
