Product Governance Manager

Description

Our client is a leading global asset management house. Due to continued company growth and success, they are now looking to recruit a Product Governance Manager to join their high performing Product team on a permanent basis.

Playing a key regulatory role within the Product function, the Product Governance Manager will assume the following remit:

• Continue to enhance the Product Governance and Value Assessment Framework to meet the highest regulatory requirements and expectations and protect investors best interests
• Representing the Product Governance team at a series of Committee meetings
• Contributing to ideas for investment product “deep dives” with the Head of Investments
• Drafting quarterly performance reports to be presented at Product Governance Committee
• Provide ongoing Product Governance monitoring of all products and management of Product Governance processes, policies and procedures
• Work in partnership with internal Product Development, Compliance, Investment Risk, and Fund Managers
• Liaise with and work in partnership with external stakeholders including the FCA
• Embedding the Product Governance framework within BAU activities
• Maintain a good awareness of investment markets and regulatory / governance frameworks
• Ensuring adherence to legal requirements, the maintenance of compliance and the good conduct of the business

The Product Governance Manager will meet the following criteria:

• Strong experience within a product governance related role in the asset management sector
• Confidence in building strong working relationships
• Background in conducting Value Assessment reviews and producing Value Assessment statements
• Awareness of the regulatory environment within financial services and applicable FCA and EU regulation e.g. FCA PROD,SFDR
• Knowledge of Product Governance regulatory requirements and best practise
• Strong understanding of investment products
• Holds the IMC or equivalent
