Investment Specialist Associate – Alternative Credit

Description

Our client is an alternative asset management firm focused on investment opportunities in alternative credit. They are looking to hire a Product Specialist to support with product management, client relations and business development activities.

Responsibilities:

• Create and distribute monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors, working closely with the investment teams to collate relevant information and data
• Participate in technical discussions with clients and respond to a broad range of investor queries
• Direct exposure to the portfolio management team, attending weekly investment meetings to better understand their investment views and positioning
• Produce investor communications including marketing materials and thought leadership pieces
• Drive process for creating response to investor questionnaires, due diligence and ad hoc requests from existing or prospective clients
• Actively involved in supporting senior members of the team with fundraising initiatives

Experience/Skills Required:

• 2-6 years of relevant work experience with an asset manager or hedge fund
• Fixed income or loan/credit experience preferred but not required
• CFA a plus, but not essential
• Degree educated with strong academic performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated individual who is proactive and intellectually curious
• Willingness to take initiative and monitor workload to meet agreed deadlines
