Description

A highly regarded investment management firm are seeking to hire an analyst to join the ESG team to have specific responsibility for ESG research in the Global Technology sector.

The ESG research function is integrated as part of the global research team and responsible for identifying environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors to support the investment decision making process and communicating investment insights to Portfolio Managers and Analysts.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Conduct detailed stock specific ESG research on the Global Technology sector
  • Develop deep understanding of valuation implications and examine industry trends for industries and businesses in the Technology sector
  • Conduct thematic research to examine social and environmental trends and the impact on investment decisions
  • Build effective relationships with Portfolio Managers’ to integrate the research and best practices into investment process to deliver sustainable returns for clients
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, events and engagement initiatives
  • Lead stewardship activities for the sector by making voting recommendations to equity holders

Candidate Profile:

  • 7-10 years’ experience either in a dedicated ESG research role elsewhere or an Equity Analyst covering the Technology sector
  • Detailed knowledge of the Technology sector
  • Clear passion for environmental, social and governance factors
  • Ideally CFA qualified
  • Understanding of financial statements and modelling experience
  • Degree educated from a top tier university
  • Strong interpersonal skills
