Description

Our client is one of the UK’s top fund management companies. They are looking for someone to join their team as a Product Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-border distributed funds, product management experience and an in-debt understanding of how a fund operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare product development proposal papers.
  • You will be expected to take the lead and upkeep projects that arise in the department relating to assessment
  • Formulate and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Prepare accurate minutes and issue on a timely basis.
  • The projects you will work on may relate to fund launches, repositioning, maintenance and closures, and any other features of product design or delivery as the business requests.
  • Accelerate issues where appropriate to the Head of Product Development.
  • Lead/brief relevant market, product and competitor analysis to upkeep proposals.
  • Accomplish internal communication relating to new product launches and enhancements including regular updates to internal stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • 5 – 7 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience organising and reviewing unit trust and SICAV legal documentation and link with internal and external oversight functions is a key requirement for this position.
  • Excellent project management experience is required, including complex projects, with the ability to manage working groups and a detailed understanding of how a fund operates
  • Will have relevant experience with UK and Luxembourg (or other cross-border distributed) funds, product management and development e.g. launches, closures, and mergers
  • A perceptive of the asset management regulatory environment.
  • Proven logical skills, including attention to detail, with the ability to influence/negotiate.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent and preferable that you have an IMC qualification or equivalent.
