Description

The position is within the Product Management department, reporting to the Head of Product Management for a Global Investment Management company. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of company’s product ranges post launch including maintenance of registrations and documentation, identifying and undertaking product management activities at the launch of a new product (in conjunction with the lead Product Developer) and on an ongoing basis to ensure continued compliance. It will also be responsible for identifying ongoing areas for improvement and increased efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within the Product Strategy & Development team (“PS&D”) to support the business in maintaining the continued success and compliance of firm’s pooled product range
  • Work alongside the Product Developers within PS&D to ensure the new and existing product ranges are effectively supported in terms of regulatory and commercial requirements
  • Responsible for setting the schedule related to pooled fund product governance and maintenance in the ‘Run’ stage of the Product Process, but will also be involved in informing product ‘Design’ and ‘Build’ as a subject matter expert on registrations and documentation
  • Management responsibility for other members of the product management team and will be expected to set, prioritise the projects and tasks within the team to ensure adequate coverage
  • Project management of regulatory change, fund changes (e.g. fund names, objectives, policies, disclosures) and closures
  • Elements of the Key Investor Information Document (“KIID”) production and maintenance process including: requesting new KIIDs (on behalf of sales or Product Developers), obtaining board approval and cross registering of new KIIDs, maintaining a master share class matrix
  • Fund registrations for marketing of the product range across a wide range of jurisdictions including: initiation and maintenance of fund registrations logs; provision of fund documentation to third parties; arranging translations, certifications and filings; coordinating updates to paying and information agents agreements; country-specific documentation collation; and cross border registrations, de-registrations and fund revocations
  • Liaising with fund boards including: correspondence around document approvals, general product management and development related correspondence, facilitating ad-hoc meetings and co- coordinating product management related papers for quarterly board meetings
  • Coordination of Fund Boards for both Irish and Cayman Fund ranges, including quarterly meetings, where, on occasion, meetings will be attended in person, arranging and attending of ad-hoc Board meetings. Additional collation of Board packs and circulation to Directors in a timely manner plus preparation of monthly reports and distribution to the Board of Directors
  • Act as the subject matter expert for internal ad-hoc queries related to product management
  • Provide support to the Boards in a Fund Board Governance capacity, either by coordination of meetings, the providing of reports, preparation of new Board policies and general ad-hoc governance tasks

Key Skills:

  • Likely to have 5+ years’ product management background, in order to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary
  • Product management / governance experience is essential
  • A highly organised, efficient and meticulous nature is essential
  • Interest in product structures and product management is necessary
  • Detailed knowledge of pooled funds is necessary
  • Familiarity with UCITS and AIFMD regulation is necessary
  • Line management experience useful and have strong word processing and Microsoft skills
  • Be extremely detail focused to ensure all aspects of product management and governance work are covered as required
  • Have sound knowledge of the asset management industry, and ideally of pooled fund structures and fund regulatory requirements including UCITS and AIFs across a range of jurisdictions
