Description

Our client, a global asset manager is looking to recruit a Sustainability Specialist to join their Global Equities investment team.  The purpose of this role is to act as the sustainability champion within the investment team. This individual will be the main point of contact with internal and external stakeholders on any ESG related investment matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Portfolio Managers and Analysts to ensure the continued evolution and enhancement of sustainability across the investment decision-making process
  • Key point of contact with clients on sustainability issues, regularly participating in client meetings and new business pitches
  • Participate in and contribute to internal ESG discussions
  • Assist with the targeting and coordination of strategic engagement activity
  • Work with Sales & Marketing departments to ensure high quality sustainability related content in presentation slides, RFP responses and sustainability reports
  • Support the product development team with sustainability related product strategy/development

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Relevant experience working for an asset manager, ideally in an ESG/sustainability focused role
  • Strong understanding of equity markets
  • Ability to clearly articulate an investment process
  • CFA qualification
  • Degree educated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative approach to work
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
