The Opportunity
A well-established, partner-owned investment and wealth management firm is looking to appoint an experienced Wealth Planner to join its growing financial planning team.
The business combines the investment discipline of a larger institution with the accessibility and client focus of a boutique firm. With a strong existing client base and a recently expanded wealth planning offering, this is a genuine opportunity to step into a stable, high-quality book of clients and play a key role in the next phase of growth.
The firm specialises in pre- and post-retirement advice, tax-efficient retirement strategies, lifetime allowance planning, and estate planning. Client relationships are long-term, advice-led, and relationship-driven, not transactional.
The Role
The core purpose of the role is to maintain and develop profitable client relationships, delivering high-quality ongoing financial planning advice and service.
You will manage an existing portfolio of clients, supported by a collaborative wider team, while contributing to the continued development of the wealth planning proposition.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of existing private clients, delivering ongoing financial planning advice to a high professional standard

Conduct regular client reviews in line with agreed service levels

Meet agreed fee targets and KPIs

Build trusted, long-term client relationships and inspire confidence

Delegate appropriately and communicate clearly with colleagues

Support and contribute to marketing and business development initiatives alongside Partners

Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards

Undertake ongoing professional development and training
Skills & Experience
Essential:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in private client wealth planning

Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset

Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal)

Solid technical understanding across core areas of financial planning

Commercial awareness and solutions-focused approach

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and numerate

Able to manage deadlines and work effectively under time pressure

Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently

Collaborative team player with a flexible approach
Systems & Tools:

Working knowledge of CRMs, cashflow planning software, investment research tools

Competent user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Qualifications

Minimum professional qualification achieved

Working towards Chartered Financial Planner status (or equivalent)
