Description
Our client, a leading and award-winning investment manager, is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their Retail Sales division in Nottingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to drive fundraising growth, develop strong relationships with financial advisers, and contribute directly to the firm’s success in the retail investment market.
The Business Development Manager will take responsibility for the following duties:

Building and nurturing strong relationships with a network of financial advisers

Driving new business opportunities through telephone-based sales activity, prospecting, and account management
-
Cold calling, following up on marketing leads, and attending industry events to expand market reach
-
Scheduling meetings for the Senior BDM via telephone, Zoom, and face-to-face channels
-
Delivering exceptional customer service to both new and existing supporters
-
Maintaining accurate records and pipeline management in Salesforce CRM
-
Using data and insights to improve productivity and guide business development strategy
-
Staying up to date with market regulations, competitor activity, and product knowledge
-
Consistently achieving quarterly and annual sales performance targets

Engaging fully with internal training and development initiatives

Building and tracking progress against a personal development plan with their manager

Sitting a professional qualification within the first 12 months of joining

Developing and maintaining deep knowledge of the market and products, keeping up to date with relevant news and industry changes
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skillset:

Proven track record in exceeding sales targets in a business development capacity

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly

Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and confident in driving results independently

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
GCSEs A–C in Mathematics & English (or equivalent)
-
Legally able to work in the UK
